King Dumplings

Having heard rave reviews, I finally made my way to King Dumplings, and it quickly became one of my favorite spots for authentic, affordable dumplings in NYC. I was delighted to find they'd simply moved a few blocks from their old location, ensuring I could continue to enjoy their fantastic offerings. The moment I stepped in, I was struck by the no-frills, authentic vibe. It's a small corner spot where you can actually watch the ladies expertly making the dumplings right in front of you – a truly cool experience. I opted for the pork and chives dumplings, and they were phenomenal. Whether fried or boiled, they were hot, ready in minutes, and perfectly balanced with a crispy bottom and a soft, pillowy top. The ratio of meat to chives to dough was spot-on, and at 10 for just $4, it's an incredible deal that offers a huge bang for your buck. I also tried the pan-fried buns, which were equally delicious and made fresh to order. A crucial tip for anyone planning a visit: King Dumplings is strictly cash-only. While there's an ATM inside, it's definitely more convenient to grab cash from a nearby bank beforehand. Seating is limited, but most people opt for takeout, so I usually managed to snag a spot. Be aware that during summer, it can get quite warm inside as there's no AC or fan. Despite these minor points, the delicious, fresh, and incredibly affordable food, combined with the quick service, makes King Dumplings an absolute must-visit. I'll definitely be back for more!

The pork and chive dumplings were definitely amazing and fresh. I had both friend and boiled. The dumpling sauce(darker color sauce) they provide on the tables is a must to pour over. It is cash only. During the time I went, the fried ones were $4.50 and the boiled ones were $5. Both contain 10 dumplings. There is minimum sitting and it is first come first serve but there are areas outside around the building to find a seat. Across the street there are a few tables to sit at that look like a public seating area. I highly recommend this place and I have seen this place go viral on social media after my visit but hoping they stay at a reasonable price.

Delicious and juicy fried pork and chives dumplings. 10 pieces for only $4.50 (such an affordable and filling lunch)! I like drizzling the dumplings with white vinegar, soy sauce and sriracha, then close the box and shake it all up. A nice spot in Chinatown to sit down for a quick meal and you don’t have to pay tips.

Superrr affordable dumpling spot. The pork and chive fried dumplings were only $4.5 for 10. This price is uncommon in other areas like Brooklyn, where they're charging $10 for 6 mid dumplings. The dumpling meat is super juicy, has a lot of flavor, and the wrappers are the perfect thickness. It's also very filling and I think they gave us more than 10 pieces lol I got very full after 6, and was sharing with a friend! I recommend using the soy sauce + vinegar mix. It'll make the dumplings taste so much better. They don't include a small container of the sauce so make sure you add it before you leave if you're not sitting in.

We went on a Monday at 2:30 and no lines. Small little spot on the corner. Cash only. You can see the mound of dumpling filling and the ladies making dumplings in front of you. Pork and chives dumplings are amazing. These dumplings are hot and ready in minutes. The bottoms are crispy and the tops are soft and pillowy. Perfect ration of meet to chives to dough. 10 for $4 is a great deal. Big on taste and big bang for you $.

Walked 10 minutes from my hotel on a rainy Sunday for lunch and I'm so glad I did! Wasn't too busy when I got there but as I was waiting for my takeout order a few more people piled in. Fried dumplings (10 for $4.5) and pork buns (4 for $3) are made fresh to order and were still piping hot by the time I got back to my hotel room. I forgot to grab some soy sauce but they taste great as they are!

This dumpling spot has very affordable and delicious dumplings, which you can get fried or boiled. You can also get pan fried buns, sandwiches, and noodles here. They are cash only so make sure that you have some cash with you when you get here. There is an ATM machine in the store but it’s better to get cash from a nearby bank before coming here. There is limited seating here but most people get their order as take out so I can usually find a seat here. There is no AC or fan so it is pretty warm and stuff in here during the summer time.
